pH Test Strip
Water/Dialysate/pH
Acetic Acid/Citric Acid Indicator
- Dip-and-read test strip
- pH range 2.0 - 9.0
- Easy to read color blocks 2.0 3.0 4.0 6.4 6.8 7.0 7.6 8.0 8.5 9.0 ppm
Measure water. acid, base, carbonate or dialysate pH. The color blocks provide accurate pH readings of 7.2 - 7.6 for final dialysate or 8.0 to 8.5 for bicarbonate concentrate.
Directions for Use:
- Dip strip in solution for one second or supply a drop of test solution onto the strip
- Quickly remove excess solution from the strip by touching the edge of the strip against the edge of the clean sample container, or by gently shaking the fluid off the strip. Do not blot the strip on a paper towel.
- Compare strip color with the color blocks after 15 seconds and determine the pH value from the chart. If the strip color falls between two color blocks, estimate the result. For consistency, read the strip color between 15 and 30 seconds.
- For tap water or RO water, wait for 3 minutes before taking the pH reading. Because of low buffering capacity in clean water, the reaction tends to be slow in reaching equilibrium.
Important:
Read the product insert carefully before use. Keep the vial capped at all times. Store at room temperature between 59˚F and 86˚F (15˚-30˚C) and away from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate. Use the strip within four months after opening.
